Is the calligraphy generator free?
Yes. You can generate as many designs as you like and download PNG, JPG and SVG files without paying or signing up.
Which languages are supported?
Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and English. Hindi and Marathi share the Devanagari styles, Gujarati has its own set, and English has script, brush and decorative styles.
I don’t have a Hindi/Gujarati keyboard. How do I type?
Turn on “Type in English letters” and type phonetically: namaste → नमस्ते, shubh lagna → શુભ લગ્ન. Each word converts when you press space. You can also paste text from anywhere.
Can I use the designs commercially?
The bundled styles use fonts released under the SIL Open Font License, which allows commercial use of what you create with them, including logos, packaging, print and client work. You are responsible for the words and any other artwork you combine them with.
Which download format should I choose?
PNG with a transparent background is best for placing on photos, cards and videos. JPG is smallest for sharing on WhatsApp or social media. SVG stays sharp at any size and is best for large prints.
How big are the downloads?
Choose HD, Full HD or 4K in the preview window. Larger sizes are ideal for flex banners and printing.
Is my text stored anywhere?
No. Everything is drawn in your own browser. Your text is never uploaded to our server.
Why does a letter look different in some styles?
Each style is a different typeface, and designers draw some conjuncts differently. If a combination doesn’t look right, try another style or type the word directly in the script.
